I'm Jack Tynan and I'm an actor.
I am here to act; my purpose is to help tell stories with like-minded folks. I will be starring in in a production of ALL MY SONS running from April 6th through May 12th at The Lounge Theatre. I was also recently cast in Max Mayer’s upcoming dark comedy/thriller feature, Deception Road, starring Alice Eve, Thomas Haden Church, and Finn Wittrock. Recent, credits include starring in the drama/sci-fi short film FIXED, with Karina Noelle and Mike Flazone written by Helen Leigh and produced by Rachel Skidmore of Skybound Entertainment (THE WALKING DEAD); a supporting role in Michael Cochnar's independent comedy feature, Addicted to You; a supporting role in Marri Savinar’s short, I’m Just Here; a co-lead in Weston Porter’s short, Nightwalk; and in the leading role of Beau Willimon's political drama Farragut North at the Odyssey Theatre.
When not performing, I hone my craft: I go to casting workshops; I take on-camera classes with Colleen Foy at Stan Kirsch Studios; I have improv training from the Los Angeles UCB Theatre; and, I have extensive advanced scene study training from Terry Schreiber at his studio in NYC. I have also trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and at McGill University in Montreal (fear not, potential US based employers: I am American-born and bred).
I take pride in my work-ethic, which I credit to the influence of my parents, as well as my birth-position as the UN Peacekeeper (read: middle child). It carried me through a three-year tenure as a Deloitte senior consultant and it proves invaluable to my growth as an actor.
Lastly, I like to be concise. Thus far, this bio does not reflect that so, I will end it brusquely by boiling it down to a lone Lumineers lyric:
"I've read this script and the costume fit, so I'll play my part."
Ready when you are.
